The Design Perspective
Wood blinds are one of the most popular products on the market today. They are available in 1, 2" and 2 1/2 slats. Wood blinds can add a great deal of warmth and beauty to your home. The 2" slats tend to give your home the old plantation style which works great with almost any dιcor. The 1 slats give a more contemporary feel to the home while the 2 or 2 1/2" slats offer more of a plantation shutter style. If the view outside is important then the larger 2 or 2 1/2" slats are usually the best solution. When rotated to the open position there is more space between the slats so your exterior view is not obstructed. The 1 slat wood blinds have twice as many slats so when rotated open you do not have as much of a view. Our wood blinds are basically like another piece of furniture for your home adding a warm, rich feeling to any room. One last note, I'd like to recommend our optional cloth tapes (see photo above). They make for a wonderful accent and work well tying the colors of your room together.

The Function & Installation Perspective
Both 1 and 2 wood blinds offer the ability to rotate the slats to adjust the degree of light/privacy in a room and can also be raised and locked in the up position so you can maximize your view. If you decide on the 1" wood blinds keep in mind that since there are twice as many slats it will have twice the stack height when raised. We offer stack height charts on our product pages under the tab titled "Product Specs & Options". Installation couldn't be easier. These blinds install as easy as any simple mini blind you may have purchased in the past. The degree of difficulty on a scale of 1-10 would be a 2. Happy hanging!
