One thing to be aware of is that when you use Sun Control Shades
it is a good idea to close your curtains during the evening hours to maintain
privacy. In dimly lit rooms, this will not be an issue, however when you use
bright interior lighting you will lose the privacy protection as a result of
the sheer fabrics used in construction.

Loop Clutch. We’ve combined form and function, and this Continuous Loop

The Design Perspective
Phifer Sheerweave Sun Control Shades are a very energy efficient and perfect solution to any room where direct sunlight may be an issue. When the shades are rolled down they cut out the direct sunlight while still letting light in the room. The fabric is available in different weave thicknesses with some being open enough to still have a view through them when they are rolled all the way down. These are perfect for Florida rooms, sun porches, the office or virtually any room where you still want a view while cutting out the direct sunlight and heat. They are great for commercial applications too such as restaurants, shops or offices where a view is desired but sun control is needed.

The Function & Installation Perspective
I love these shades. If you're having a problem with intense heat coming into your room then these may be just what you were looking for. The Phifer Sheerweave Roller Shades give you all the heat blocking qualities you need while still offering a decent view to the outdoors. They also work great for commercial applications like restaurants, retail stores, etc. Anyplace that you may need to block out the hot sun but not want your store/restaurant to look like the place is closed.
These sheerweave shades are actually a fancy type of roller shade. They function just like a regular roller shade but the fabric, tube and lifting mechanism are usually better quality. Most sheerweave shades we sell come with a clutch lift mechanism which is a continuous loop chain used to raise and lower the shade. The brackets used for this type of lifting mechanism are simple L-shaped brackets with one being a 'left' and the other being a 'right' hand bracket. You will need to install with two screws in each of the two brackets. Be sure to hang those brackets level or shade may track to one side. :-)
