The Design Perspective
Aluminum blinds come in a ˝” slat, 1” slat or 2” slat. The 2” aluminum slat gives the larger plantation style look but are more economical than its wood or faux wood alternatives. The ˝” aluminum slat has more of a modern, contemporary feel with its sleeker look. The 1” aluminum mini blinds are the most common version of the aluminum blinds, also known as mini blinds and are also the most economical of the 3 slat sizes. Aluminum slats are not recommended in a room with small children or pets because they can be damaged a lot easier than our wood, faux wood or horizontal vinyl blinds.

The Function & Installation Perspective
Aluminum Blinds are some of the most versatile value priced products we sell. They work great at controlling the light and for privacy. The slats can be tilted to offer some degree of privacy while still offering a view to the outside. The 1" mini blinds are one of the most popular inexpensive blinds we sell. The 1/2" micro blinds have less of a curve to the slats which makes for less obstruction of view when rotated open. The 2" horizontals offer more of a plantation styling like the shutters but at a fraction of the cost.
Installation is a snap with any of these products. They usually take less than a minute per window to install.
